The scapular and covert pattern of this bird, lacking pale tips to both the greater and median wing coverts, is nearer michahellis than most cachinnans.The head and bill is good for Caspian Gull - compare with this Caspian Gull. Apart from its horizontal posture and unmoulted coverts, the bird recalls these unidentified Oman gulls, perhaps indicating that the Oman Gulls are Caspian Gulls.
