There are a lot of weird looking gulls around right now. This gull is presumably a 1st winter bird (pointed primaries). It is moulting its inner greater coverts and inner tertials, which would fit michahellis/cachinnans more than argentatus/argenteus. However, the tail base/upper tail coverts/rump are heavily marked and did not appear the usual pristine white of a mich/cach. I did not get the underwing. The greater coverts look quite good for cachinnans, the head structure looks better for michahellis, the tail base looks good for nothing. Ideas welcome.
