Having seen what looked like 4 White Wagtails, but with dark rumps, at Kingfisher Bridge, I decided to go to Reach Sod Farms to see if I could find some more. There I found another 7 birds, that looked like White Wagtails with a dark rump together with perfectly normal-looking male and female Pied Wagtails. There seems to be a clear contrast in the greater coverts making them 2CY birds. The grey, extending from the nape onto the crown is said to be a feature of White Wagtail; Pied should have moulted to an all black cap. Opinions received so far (March 2008) go for Pied, White and "don't know" .
