The squarish head (there is some damage on the forehead), dark-centred tertials, bright bill with a dark tip give an initial impression of Yellow-legged Gull (michahellis). However, the short primary extension as well as pink legs make it a Herring Gull 3CY. Birds of this general appearance frequently turn up in the spring.
