I misidentified this bird in the field as a michahellis. It was a fairly dark bird, typical michahellis lesser and new median coverts and big chested, just like michahellis. However, it had a very white underwing (not necessarily wrong for michahellis at this age), behaved like cachinnans, has typical cachinnans greater coverts, and the facial expression and green ringed bill of a 2CY cachinnans. The photograph was taken through dense netting.
