This bird looked fairly compellingly like a Caspian Gull in the field. The greater and median coverts on the right wing look fairly standard, but the left wing does not look typical at all. The scapular anchors are on the heavy side as well. With its white underwing, it has clearly got Caspian in it, but can one exclude its originating from a mixed colony?
