I have put this in for a bit of controversy. We could not decide what it was. On the one hand it looked more Yellow-legged Gull than Lesser Black-backed, but on the other hand, the under-wings are very dark and there is no translucency at all on the inner primaries. Yellow-legged Gull is supported by the size, bill, broad wings, whitish head and body, eye-patch and the outer primaries are very worn. This is no normal michahellis, but could it be a wandering atlantis, or just a large male Lesser Black-backed Gull?
