BTO Guide 17: "Guide to the Identification and Ageing of Holarctic Waders" gives a slightly larger range: 74-85mm
The standard deviation is by far the lowest of all samples quoted, so my guess is that the BWP islandica sample may be too small to infer with certainty that this bird is not a male islandica
