These 2 birds have different length bills probably signifying male and female. The female has a notably long bill which is to be expected as this species forms a cline from nominate arquata in the west to the very long-billed orientalis in the east. Birds that breed east of the Urals are said to be orientalis, which is probably what these are. This is also supported by their finely streaked lower breast and flanks and the contrasting paler wing-coverts on the female.
