These show both sides of a 3CY Yellow-legged Gull. Superficially, the plumage of this bird is rather Herring Gull-like, especially the patterned tertials on the right side.
P00385 shows a Herring Gull at Landbeach on the same day, in similar plumage. The difference in shape, primary attenuation, heavily patterned tertials and leg colour are all obvious.
